Empowering you to make the positive changes you want to make in life.

Some thoughts, feelings and automatic reactions live so deep in our subconscious mind that positive thinking or just talking doesn't quite shift them. That’s where hypnotherapy can be a powerful addition to counselling.

What is hypnotherapy?

Around 90% of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are shaped by your subconscious mind — the part of you that quietly runs in the background, often outside of your everyday awareness. Because of this, it can sometimes feel frustratingly hard to consciously shift the way you think, feel, or react to certain situations.

Hypnotherapy works by using guided relaxation and focused attention to gently open the door to this often elusive part of your mind. Once there, positive, supportive suggestions can be introduced to help you create new, healthier, and kinder patterns in how you think, feel, and respond.

What can hypnotherapy help with?

  • Anxiety and stress

  • Phobias and specific fears

  • Low confidence and self-esteem

  • Breaking habits

  • Smoking/Vaping cessation

  • Preparing for birth

Sometimes hypnotherapy is woven into counselling work, where it feels helpful. Other times, it’s a stand-alone tool we might use for something specific like a fear of flying, fear of spiders, emetophobia or breaking habits such as smoking or vaping. Either way, it’s always tailored to you.
