
CONFIDENTIALITY
As a member of NCPS I am bound by their Ethical Framework to protect a client’s confidentiality. Therefore, everything that we discuss is confidential except in certain circumstances which are listed below:

To assist in the prevention or detection of a serious crime

To prevent serious harm to you or others

To meet legal requirements, such as disclosing information to prevent acts of terrorism or to comply with court orders

For child protection purposes

If I believe you are at risk of suicide or serious self-harm
Please also note that, under the professional code of ethics of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society, I am required to undergo regular supervision of my work. I may discuss elements of our sessions with my supervisor, who is also bound by confidentiality, with exceptions.
