A Warm Welcome
Hi there, I’m Joanne -- most people call me Jo.
If you’re living in a constant state of high alert, feeling tense, exhausted, or caught in cycles of worry, self-doubt, or overthinking, you’re in the right place. Many people I work with are capable and resourceful, but still find themselves struggling to switch off and relax.
I support people with a wide range of issues, with much of my work centred around anxiety in its many forms — from burnout and workplace stress, to fears and phobias, perinatal anxiety, and parenting overwhelm. I also work with people facing family or relationship challenges, and neurodivergent adults navigating a world that isn’t always accommodating.
Alongside counselling, I’m a hypnotherapist and perinatal practitioner. I combine training and my own lived experience of burnout, anxiety, neurodivergence, and parenting to help people feel calmer, more confident, and more in tune with themselves.
I know reaching out for help can be nerve-wracking — I’ve been there myself, both in a busy corporate role and as a mother. That’s why I like to keep things simple and relaxed, with no pressure or judgment, so you can talk openly and feel comfortable and supported in a way that works for you.

As a pluralistic therapist, I draw on a range of counselling and hypnotherapy approaches, tailoring sessions to suit your needs, goals, and pace.
